A very good friend of mine has a Toy truck and while I have never used it
myself, it did do a good job of towing my Monty Carlo (^%*&%*&% car!) home
when it died. I would guess that it would have enough power to do what it
was designed to do. 

The weight of big tires and its effect on power can be minimised by checking
the current motor RPM with the calculated motor RPM with big tires. if you
get too large a drop, performance will suffer (axle ratio change time!).
The real problem is the flywheel effect of the bigger tires overloading
your brakes. 

The best advice is: talk to someone in the offroad biz that you trust and
don't get carried away.
