It is used primarily for thawing and reheating, but one thing I wouldn't look in a regular oven anymore is turkey. Every turkey I have ever eaten that came out of a conventional oven was dry. Of the couple dozen turkeys and roasting chickens I've done in the microwave none were dry, and it took only a fraction of the time.
