Lebowitz I have used both CCA Emacs and Goslings Emacs and I found both of them to be useful editing tools. CCA Emacs comes chock-full of functions which Goslings Emacs doesn't necessarily give you. With Goslings, you do have the option of writing your own functions in Mlisp which is nice but there are many times when it's easier to just look up the name of the function in the manual than writing and debugging your own...
