Lines: 23 After reading newspapers from several of the major metropolitan areas, I have found that the NY Times is probably one of the best and most accurate newspapers around. However, (and here it comes) it is known that the NYT is a liberal newspaper (as can be deduced from its editorials and editorial opinions). There have been occasions when the NYT has deliberately ignored opions or facts which have contradicted their its more liberal approach. I can not, offhand, relate such instances here. If you were to compare the NYT to another "business man's" newspaper (such as the Wall Street Journal), the NYT is definitely a Liberal newspaper. I would rather characterize the NYT as a liberal-middle-of-the-road paper. As newspapers go these days (since they are all being bought up by Murdoch (sp?)), the NYT is particularly accurate and thorough in its reporting. If I had my choice, I would probably pick the NYT to read every day. Most of the other papers regurgitate highly condensed versions of what is happening in the world, which does not give you an (mostly) unbiased version. So few newspapers will give the WHOLE story, not just the condensed story (aka Reader's Digest(ed) summaries). Larry Koved University of Maryland, College Park Computer Science
