I was one of the first to post to this net that while I agree with rabbit!jj I don't see a whole lot of differance between what we did in Grenada and the Soviets did in Afghan- istan, except that Afghanistan is a lot closer (physically) to them than Grenada is to us. I have been a registered Republican since 1972 and voted for both Nixxon and Ford. Politically I find myself somewhere between Ronald Reagan and Smith Hempstone (for the unwashed multitude S.H. is editor of the Washington Times, a *very* conservative newspaper). I don't see where the mindset of the power-class in the Kremlin has one whit to do with my ability to see the truth and speak out. Or are you suggesting that we must adopt symmetrical lies? This smacks of relative morality/situation ethics and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Sure we will sell them the rope to hang us, but we are in business to sell rope. Like gun control, the moral responsibility falls on the human user, not on the inanimate object... Ben Cranston ...seismo!umcp-cs!zben zben@umd2.ARPA
