However, they also engage in their own independent actions. In the same light, one can see that England follows an ideology similar to that of the U.S. This does not, however, mean the the invasion of the falklands was directed by U.S. England is a poor example, since their dependance on the U.S. is not as great as that of Cuba upon the Soviets. However, I think that it illustrates the the point. I'm afraid you have missed one crucial point. The conservative does not feel compelled to judge the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. by the same standards.
