How about outlawing cars. We only had 22,000 homicides, 25,000 suicides and about 45,000 fatalities in automobile accidents last year. Why don't we make cigarrettes and alcohol illegal also. You can't get rid of guns by passing a law. Criminals will have them and people will go ahead and have them in their houses for 'protection.' Maybe if we had a more sophisticated computer monitoring system that we have now, we could have a system that would save a lot of lives by preventing people positively from smoking, drinking or having a hand gun. But that would use a lot of money that could be better used feeding starving people in various places around the world (and some here in the U. S.). Besides some people would feel their privacy would be invaded.
