A backgammon is worth 3 times the cube value. This is the american convention and cannot be disputed. Of course you could create any new convention desirable to all players, so computer hackers who tend to think in powers of two may want a backgammon to count as 4 times the cube value (but this is not the standard). ------------------ Aside...
