Dorothy Parker had a great line (although I forget the school that she
REALLY picked on) which said

If you were to take all the girls from Temple, and lay them from end to
end... I wouldn't be at all surprised.


In Philadelphia, Temple is known as "Temple O," rather then "Temple U."
The reason for this is the following conversation.

Q:      Where do you go to school?

A:      Philadelphia.

Q:      University of Pennsylvania!?

A:      Temple

Q:      Oh.
