I had not meant to offend you or any of your various friends (and various and many they are). I realize that Strange Error Messages are a rare breed though definitely not on the endangered list. I had not intended that anyone take exception to my jibes. Normally I am not one to tell ethnic jokes. I am very ashamed. I know that this is not enough. I confess that it was I who coined the YASEM (Yet Another ...) word, but, well I LIKE YA's! I know, I know, this is no excuse. But look at it from my point of view. I'm as familiar with you and your friends as anyone. I was, after all, a university insultant... uh, I mean consultant. You made my days and nights at the computing center pure hell... I mean joy! I, uh, could have gotten ... bored; yeah, that's it, bored. But, well, all of you SEMs kept me from that. It was exciting! You were the reason I was employed. Now I have the shear pleasure of being in a position to create some of you myself. I will resist the temptation, however. Here's hoping I don't have to see you show up when I'M running a utility ... - Dave Maxey (alias tbm) {seismo,mcnc,brl-bmd,allegra}!rlgvax!dave p.s. You guys don't happen to have a "union" do you? A struct?
