A young botanist who specialized in a particular kind of tree
was travelling in the prairies. In the central square of a small
town he came across a tree that looked generally like the kind
in which he specialized, but had some peculiarities. The more
he studied it, the stranger it looked. After a while, being
quite confused, he asked one of the old men sitting around:
"What IS that?"

"That's a tree, son. Ain't you never seen one before?"
