Two African doctors who had just been posted at a stateside hospital
(net.stateside hospital) were in front of the maternity ward in the
midst of a heated argument that went along these lines:

(first doctor)"No, no, no! Its 'waaaahmmmb'"
(2nd doctor) "No you're wrong! its 'woooooommmb'"

and this continued for quite sometime.
Finally a nurse stepped in and said:
"The correct pronunciation is 'womb'"
and she trotted off in glee.

(first doctor)"that show's you what she knows"
(2nd doctor) "Yeah, I bet she's never even SEEN a hippopotamus,
  let alone heard one fart underwater..."

I further extend my apologies to hippos, babies etc etc etc.
