Concerning strange error messages in net.jokes: I think they're
humorous; mostly because at the time I read them I'm not the victim of
whatever programmer was sufficiently enamored of his own wit to put
such things into a product. Consider the joy of the people without
source licenses who run into problems and are faced with such error
messages, or manual pages that say

BUGS
	Behaves strangely on nights with full moons.

or other things equally informative. (This is a real live example, by
the way.) It would be nice if folks who distribute programs that are
intended for use by people who have work other than repairing their
tools to do would excise such trash ruthlessly.
