Currently, net.jokes carries jokes that offend some people. This may not be a desirable situation, but it's hard to fix. Net.jokes would be empty if it carried only jokes that wouldn't offend `the most sensitive reader.' As such, I think that some people ARE going to be offended. The question is where to draw the line. The answer is, of course, to let the submitters decide. If someone submits something that a majority find offensive, DELUGE him in flames, and maybe he'll think twice next time. For instance, whoever submitted the BLKTRAN article will probably NOT submit such a thing again. Of course, you can also post flames about offensive jokes to the net, in which case I hope YOU get deluged in fire - so that you'll think twice about posting such things to the net. Hopefully, eventually, things will settle down to a compromise that we can live with, with some people getting offended by jokes and others getting offended by articles about offensive jokes.
