thank you, b. walsh, for putting that so well.  if i get in a car wreck
and claim it's a 'tragic event', does that mean the words 'tragic event'
are MINE, and not to be applied to any other 'tragic event'?  i STILL
can't figure out why SO many people put stuff other than jokes in net.jokes
after LOTS of warnings/pleading from other net.jokers (hmm, is that the phrase?)

maybe anytime we see someone sending something besides a jokes in net.jokes
we should ALL send him some mail reminding him of net.jokes.d.  perhaps
a flood of mail will change these's peoples habits.  (note:  'we' mentioned
in this paragraph refers to anyone who wants ONLY jokes in net.jokes.  i
did not mean to say that EVERYONE in net.jokes should mail to the scoundrel
in question.  however, if everyone did, we would probably see immediate
and lasting results)
