The book on fractals is:

	"The Fractal Geometry of Nature"
	by Benoit B. Mandelbrot
	W.H. Freeman and Company (1983)

This is the latest revision of Mandelbrot's text.  I recommend it to
both casual readers (it has nice pictures) and to anyone who wants
an overview of the subject.
