It was actually running under XENIX on an Altos 5-86. It was called The Bridge and allowed anyone with an IBM standard eight inch disk drive to load cp/m programs into a unix environment. Once loaded, they could be run under The Bridge and files transferred between UNIX and the CP/M file area. The one dis- advantage was that one has to set aside a file that pretends to be a CP/M diskette and that space is used if it contains CP/M files OR it is empty. This program was included with the XENIX systems developement system by ALTOS. John Meier - dartvax!johnm
