I talked to the programmer here who was doing this, trying to pick his brain for something to post, but he wouldn't state specifics, instead pointing me at the article: "Technical Aspects of IBM PC Compatability" on page 247 of the November 1983 Byte Magazine. Interestingly enough, this article was written by five guys from Columbia Data Systems! They claim to be highly compatable, but this article may give you somewhere to start...
