( I think RAMDISK is the correct term, I'm referring to the external peripheral device which is actually a bunch of RAM but appears to the Apple as two disk drives.) Is there a marked improvement in such things as compile times in Pascal when using the RAMDISK instead of a real disk, and does anyone have a rough estimate of the improvement. A friend of mine told me that when using the RAMDISK with DOS files, it did not perform as well with text files as with binary files. Does anyone know if this is true and why? Does this have any effect on its use with Pascal. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Rich
