That demo has some bugs in it. E.g. On my machine (XT, 256K, mono AND color), it crashes the machine if it is run from the color display, sometimes. If it's the first thing run since you last booted the machine, though, it's OK always. The same thing was true for the version of notepad, the editor that comes with the mouse for free, but only sometimes...
