Naturally most of these groups sprang up in the "Renaissance" period of 1966-1968. Anyway, this is what I came up with from looking at my collection and thumbing through "The Rolling Stone Book of Rock Lists": Lothar and the Hand People The Blooz Magoos (changed to Blues Magoos) Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band It's A Beautiful Day Boffalongo Ultimate Spinach The Pork Dukes Wiggy Bits Bees Make Honey Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band The Sic F*cks Africa Creeps Up and Up Ball Point Banana The Charging Tyrr=annosaurus of Despair Truman Coyote The Crab Cometh Forth Daisy Overkill Dr. Zoom and His Sonic Boom The Electric Rectum Everything Is Everything The Fifty Foot Hose Frumious Bandersnatch Hmmm Jesus Christ and the Nailknockers The Only Alternative and His Other Possibilities The Peanut Butter Conspiracy Purple Earthquake Recurring Love Habit Thorsten Veblen Blues Band (look him up) The Time Being Tiny Hearing Aid Company Transatlantic Chicken Wicken No. 5 Uncut Balloon The You Know Who Group Cardboard Zeppelin Jefferson Handkerchief The Wonder Who? (the 4 Seasons did several singles under this name to see if their records would sell if nobody knew who they were) Scott Abbot Bell Labs, Merrimack Valley
