I have two domestic cats and have a MAJOR problem: one of my two cats (I don't know which one but I have a suspicion) doesn't use the litter box to urinate. She'll use the corners of the rooms, the hallway, under the sinks, and on electrical cords & tools "to go". What am I to do? I have scolded her, put her in her litter box (which is in the closet) for an hour, and lavished much affection on her--all to no avail. She has been doing this for about six months now. Does anyone have any problems like this? Any answers? We have just (2 months ago) moved into to a new house but my other female cat and my female dog are fine. This "problem" cat seems fine and normal in every way except this. I even tried that spray on the market: "Dog Away" but that just stinks up the house. Any response would be appreciated. --Martha at Washington University-Physics Dept. in St. Louis
