I saw the first half of the Sadat special last night
on PBS and was impressed by one of Nasser's (sp?) comments
to his revolutionary council.

"We have learned that the US cannot be trusted.  They
have just deserted their three best allies (Britain, France,
and Israel).  Let us be grateful that we are unaligned and
remember that the US makes a bad ally."

This was said after a meeting with the US ambassador in
which we "disassociated" ourselves from our allies during
the 1957 hostilities (correct me if the date is wrong).
