It's my understanding that the sixth name shown as playing the Doctor
in the 20th ann. special is the "lookalike" who filled in for
William Hartnell as the 1st Doctor.  I thought that Hartnell is
in ill health, or  (scratch that.  I just checked in a magazine
article and confirmed that Hartnell is now dead.)  Anyway, the ann.
show used 1 or 2 clips of old Hartnell shows at the very beginning.
After that, the first Doctor was played by this sixth fellow (I
didn't catch the name), who did a very good job of looking
and sounding pretty much like Hartnell.  You'll recall that in the 10th
ann. special, The Three Doctors, the real Hartnell was still alive, but ill.
In that show he only appeared from the neck up on a video screen, to give
advice to Troughton and Pertwee.
