I just finished watching the final installment of "Pictures" on Masterpiece
Theater on the local PBS station here. (WETA in Washington, D.C.)
I was really sorry to see it end, it was great.  If they haven't played
it in your area yet, or if they replay it sometime, watch it. It's worth
it. I unfortunately missed some of the early episodes since I don't
like many of Masterpiece Theater's offerings, and consequently don't 
watch it all the time. I hope that they repeat this one sometime so
that I can get to see those that I missed. Did anyone recognize any of
the actors on this series? They were all new to me.
