There were some debugging C preprocessor macros posted. I gave a talk on ctrace at UNICOM last January (see proceedings) and have received many requests for it since then. It is likely to be in the next release of UNIX, but since System V had just been announced it looked like it would be some time before the next version was released. I applied to have ctrace licensed as a separate product, but when I last checked on it the request was still sitting in a folder in Western Electric Technology Licensing in Greensboro, NC.
