  I am in need of a program or programs that can supply statistics on
'C' programs. The numbers I am after would count basic 'C' operations
(+ ++ += etc.) and ideally the types involved in an operation ( int + int
 float * int char - int etc.). I have a large 'C' program and would like
to optimize a compiler to help the constructs used often. Any other
information or help in this area would also be appreciated.
