If not, why the discrepancy? If so, would you draw the line at some level of risk? E.g. onboard ships vs. flying combat aircraft vs. ground forces vs. elite ground forces (Rangers, Paras, Marines) vs. Suicidal ground forces. The obvious test case is the Israeli armed forces. But do they have female pilots, and if not, does anyone out there know the reason?
