As I remember it, life insurance benefits are not automatically voided
by suicide -- only in the first year or so of the policy. i.e. if you
kill yourself after holding the policy three years, the benefit will be
paid.  Since I only seem to have "summaries" of the benefits of group
policies, I don't know all the fine print so there may be reduced
benefits for suicide, but even then I suspect full benefits would be
paid if it were proved that you were insane at the time.
