I am looking for information on the registration of pipe organs and
instruments that closely emulate them.  Book recommendations would be
great;  if there is someone who is willing to help with a few questions from
time to time, that would be even better.

I'm currently engaged in efforts to find usable (singable!) registrations
for an electronic that does not seem to be well-designed at all.  Still,
any assistance I can get will help, especially if it leads me to some
understanding of registration principles that might be valid on this beast.
