Now that the furor in this newsgroup has died down...
(just when you thought it was safe to fly near the Soviet coast...)

The December issue of Flying Magazine has a very good set of short pieces
about the KAL007 massacre.  Rather than being from the typical news-media
sensationalist, questionable-accuracy-and-validity angle, these are from the
perspective of the professional pilot with years of experience flying (and
navigating) in that corridor.  Some points are elaborated upon that were
glossed over or mis-stated in the "popular" press.  All in all, good
recommended reading.
