It's not as good as "Marathon Man", though. The book is written in Goldman's usual style, lots of action, several major league fake-outs, interesting, human characters, several of whom die in uncomfortable ways. Warning: The plot is one of those top-secret government projects headed by amoral evil-genuises plots, so you may have to take it with a grain or two of salt. BTW: The Silent Gondoliers, by S. Morgenstern has just been published. Has anyone read this? Any comments? dann
