Berkeley Lines: 17 I hit the trail quite often and am always looking for new and interesting things to eat ("ever eat a pine tree?"). I've been trying, for a long while, to find a good recipes for trail bars. (Someone has already suggested dirt in an ice-cube tray, thank you). Trail bars are a fruit/nut/oats/whatever/etc., high-energy food, that's supposed to taste good. I'd like to find a recipe that was high-energy and good tasting, and that would keep over a month or so on the trail. The tasting good part is important (something has to add variety after a month of eating pine trees). If you mail requests to me, I'll post a summary to the net, if there's sufficient interest. Thanks. --bart miller u.c. berkeley (cs dept). bart@berkeley ...!ucbvax!bart
