Forgive me if I am wrong, but I recall that the person looking for a "truly"
vegetarian cookbook specified non-dairy; I have only looked through the
Moosewood Cookbook, but I seem to remember many of the recipes using dairy
products. Am I correct?

One thing I do know for sure -- in the Philadelphia area, at least, "The
Moosewood Cookbook" and "The Enchanted Broccoli Forest" are both available
in your ordinary bookstore.
