I would like to find out what the state of the art for modems is for
asynchronous operation over the dial-up net. I have some literature
about Vadic's 4400 modem, capable of 2400 baud full-duplex, but are
there any others which run full duplex above 1200 baud?

Mail to me; I'll digest to the net. By the way, is anyone using the
Vadic 4400? It would seem to be a good solution for back-bone news
systems to cut down phone-use time.
