	Well, everybody knows what side of this issue I'm on, by now,
but I think you're being too sarcastic, and insensitive to boot.  The
tragedy of war is not limited to death in combat with the enemy.  The
fear and excitement pervading such events leads to considerable errors
in judgement at the tactical level.  Yes, I'm sorry, but "this *is* to
be expected."  War is messy.
