on has a "guest" account available for people who only need to do a
little work, and don't need their own account, or for people waiting
to get their own account.  When I first got my account, it took
three days to set it up.  During that time, I used the "guest"
account.  As that was my first exposure to the USENET, I wasn't
certain how to change it, or even that I should change it.  Anyway,
for those three days, any messages I sent out, had a path of:

          ...!ssc-vax!guest

I wasn't trying to be annonomous [sp?]. I am certain that there are
many computers out there with similar accounts.
