Unfortunately, I guess this means that such individuals are more closely related to me than I thought before (i.e., we had a common ancestor 500,000 years ago rather than 5 million years ago), and consequently I should be against the death penalty since they are closer in a family way to me. I remember a poster from the 1860s or 1870s showing Mark Twain crying in Palestine over his long lost relative Adam. He commented he always felt that way about dead members of the family, particularly the only members who did anything worthy of note. Scott Pector
