They sometimes fail to point out these abuses because these failures are well-publicized already, greatly from the work of conservatives. Since we are in the "good ol' U.S. of A" (I am beginning to despise this expression, especially the 'of'), we have more of a chance to observe abuses perpetrated by our own country. Liberals don't SUPPORT the Soviet Union's policies, they object to hypocrisy in judging the actions of our own government. I never thought I would be paraphrasing Scripture, but some people take it as "Gospel", so here's a few the more valuable things it says in the Good Book (Christ's advice IS rather good): Judge not, lest you be judged. Let he of you who is blameless cast the first stone. Each person who pays taxes to the United States Government is RESPONSIBLE for everything that government does, because our government is supposed to represent us, especially in international affairs.
