Ernie Bushmiller (of Nancy fame) is deceased, for over a year, I think.
Since his passing, the strip has taken a strange turn.  The weekday B&W
strips are signed by Mark Lasky, while the Sunday color strips say
"Plastino."  I recall that the Mad magazine spoofs on Nancy were also
signed Plastino...
