If you really don't know what's wrong with "that", I'm afraid you're in
the wrong newsgroup.  This is net.music, not net.muzak (as in "the
sound you make is muzak to my ears..." written by one who knew what
McCartney was up to).

By the way, people seem to be judging Spandau Ballet based on the old
Hall&Oates style ripoff (which was originally a Philly soul style ripoff)
"True".  Actually, before "True" came out Spandau Ballet had a reputation
as a new romantic pseudo-funk band, and they hesitated to release "True"
in the USA as a single because they feared it would confuse the feeble
minds of the American public ("True" was #1 in England almost a year ago.).
However, I should clarify my position on the Spandex Ballyhoos by saying
that much of their earlier pseudo-funk was *really* "diabolically
disgusting" (save "To Cut a Long Story Short"), whereas "True" is just a
semi-harmless piece of fluff (I say "semi-" because there is always the
danger as with all muzak that it will turn us all into shopping mall zombies
purchasing our little lives away).
