	In the midst of the silence surrounding you,
a retainer wanders over to you and drops a package
containing a map and some written instructions in front of you.

While you don't have a lot of time to carefully examine the map
right now, you manage to gather the following information:
	There is a path marked on the map.  It heads from Ravenswood
directly north (with turns mostly for land features) about 30
miles to a well known passage through the southern mountains
called the "Landward" passage. <It is named "landward" since
it is one of two easier ways, the other being close to the east
coast, from the south quarter into the central highlands.>
	About 12.5 miles north of the Landward Gate (a 
geographical feature, not a man-made feature) the path
leaves the passage, and heads west into an unfamiliar
part of the island (at least to the graduates).  A marking
on the map indicates that this turn is marked by rock cairn
west of the road, in a small valley that has branches going
north, south, and west.  About five miles west of  the intersection
a geographical feature looking like a high altitude valley is
shown.  It is labeled "Erinsfell".  The text suggests to you that this
would be a good place to look for healing herbs, etc.  

	Some of the folks in the crowd are looking at the bottom of
their mugs, some holding them upside down and shaking them, some
looking in with exagerated unhappiness, and some looking at you
and pointing to the mugs.
	The king is waiting (patiently) thus far, for volunteers.

I haven't heard from you since your original message, and I would
appreciate confirmation that you have received your character
stats, etc. <I seem to have tripped over some mail problems lately.>

The party now has an animist (presley) and a ranger (bad).  While
neither of these are permanant yet, they seem to reflect the
interests of the players.
