SEC MOVE EXPECTED ON NEW AT&T SHARES, N.Y.
Times, 11/9, p.D1.  The SEC apparently doesn't
like the idea of premature trading in the new
stocks of the stripped-down AT&T and the seven
regionals.  The commission is expected to issue
an order today that would prevent any such
trading until Nov. 21, the scheduled date all
along for the start of trading.  N.Y. Stock
Exchange officials had hoped to start trading
on Nov. 17, one day after prospectuses on the
stocks would be issued.  Divestiture won't take
place until Jan. 1; stock certificates won't
be distributed until February.
