Hewlett Packard Labs Medical Department is seeking qualified
applicants to work in the area of computer-aided medical 
decision-making, data-management, and monitoring.  Successful
candidates will join a department with strong commitments to
physiological sensors, imaging systems, and medical data-
acquisition and management.  Responsibilities include algorithm
design and implementation as well as participating in the 
choice of promising areas for new development.

Applicants should have a strong background in computer science
with emphasis on either artificial intelligence or statistical
pattern recognition/decision theory preferred.  M.S. or Ph.D.
in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and either
previous experience or strong interest in medical computing
are desirable.
