I haven't gotten this big a response to an article since I posted Sam Clam.
It seems there are many more Tom Lehrer fans out there then I thought.
Who'd of thunk it?  Be that as it may, I will post two more songs here, if
someone will post the lyrics to THE ELEMENTS (as sung by Tom Lehrer, not
just the list of elements).  Being a Gilbert and Sullivan fan (try it,
you'll like it), AND a Tom Lehrer fan, that song has a certain interest to
me.  "Mr. Ravelli, what is your first number?"  "Number one!"

                         NATIONAL BROTHERHOOD WEEK

Oh, the white folks hate the black folks,

To hate all but the right folks
is an old established rule.

BUT during National Brotherhood Week,
National Brother Week,
Lena Horne and Sheriff Clark are dancing cheek to cheek,
it's fun to eulogize the people you depise,
As long as you don't let 'em in your school.

But during National Brotherhood Week,

New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans 'cause it's very chic.

You can tolerate him if you try.
Oh the Protestants hate the Catholics,
And the Catholics hate the Protestants,
And the Hindus hate the Moslems,
And everybody hates the Jews.

But during National Brotherhood Week,
National Brotherhood week,
It's National Everyone smile at, one anotherhood week
Be nice to people who are inferior to you
It's only for a week, so have no fear.
Be grateful that it doesn't last all year.
