It seems there are many more Tom Lehrer fans out there then I thought. Who'd of thunk it? Be that as it may, I will post two more songs here, if someone will post the lyrics to THE ELEMENTS (as sung by Tom Lehrer, not just the list of elements). Being a Gilbert and Sullivan fan (try it, you'll like it), AND a Tom Lehrer fan, that song has a certain interest to me. "Mr. Ravelli, what is your first number?" "Number one!" NATIONAL BROTHERHOOD WEEK Oh, the white folks hate the black folks, And the black folks hate the white folks. To hate all but the right folks is an old established rule. BUT during National Brotherhood Week, National Brother Week, Lena Horne and Sheriff Clark are dancing cheek to cheek, it's fun to eulogize the people you depise, As long as you don't let 'em in your school. Oh the poor folks, hate the rich folks, And the rich folks hate the poor folks, All of my folks hate all of your folks, It's American as apple pie. But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week. New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans 'cause it's very chic. Step up and shake the hand of someone you can't stand You can tolerate him if you try. Oh the Protestants hate the Catholics, And the Catholics hate the Protestants, And the Hindus hate the Moslems, And everybody hates the Jews. But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood week, It's National Everyone smile at, one anotherhood week Be nice to people who are inferior to you It's only for a week, so have no fear. Be grateful that it doesn't last all year. FIGHT FIERCELY, HARVARD! Fight fiercely, Harvard, fight, fight fight! Demonstrate to them our skill. Albeit they pocess the might, Nonetheless WE have the will. How we shall celebrate our victory, we shall invite the whole team up for tea (how jolly!) Hurl that spheroid down the field, and Fight, fight, fight! Fight fiercely, Harvard, fight, fight fight! Impress them with our prowess, DO! Oh, fellows do not let the crimson down, Be of stout heart and true. Come on chaps, fight for Harvard's glorious name, Won't it be peachy if we win the game? (oh goody!) Let's try not to injure them, but Fight, fight, fight! LET'S NOT BE ROUGH, THOUGH! Fight, fight, fight! AND DO FIGHT FIERCELY! Fight, fight, fight! Dedicated to Charles Emerson Winchester, and Guy Harris's version of the spelling checker, which allowed me to find the word "albeit" OZ seismo!rlgvax!oz
