Well, the Computer Based Education Research Lab (CERL) at the University of Illinois is trading in their old machines for new ones and is looking for buyers. They have a Cyber 73 for sale which would be usable when it's pulled out, and, additionally, a Cyber 6500 which will be "removed without a lot of concern for its well-being" and is considered suitable for spare parts. Also, 2M of ECS is available, as well as several other peripherals. They say they prefer to sell the ECS the person buying the mainframe(s). For more information, contact Tina Gunsalus at (217) 333-2375. Do not contact me. ---------- Reminds me of when they took the CDC6600 out of our machine room -- It was pretty well wired into the walls and floors, and to get it out they took an axe to it. Literally, severed its umbilical with an axe. It was a sad sight, I'm sure. -- Allan Pratt ...decvax!pur-ee!iuvax!isrnix!akp
