This reminds me of one of the finest examples of journalistic euphemism I have
ever seen.  U.S. News & World Report did a story a while back on single women
who elect to bear children.  The article contained a sentence something like:
"Some use artificial insemination, while others rely on the cooperation of a
male acquaintance."
