"KENYA WARNS ITS TEACHERS"

Nairobi (Reuter) - Kenyan authorities have threatened to take firm action
against teachers who have sex with school girls.

  The district officer for Kilifi, on the Indian Ocean coast, issued the
warning after two teachers were suspended pending legal action for having
sexual relations with their pupils.

  He said teachers should treat school girls as they would their own
daughters, but lamented that one of those suspended also faced charges of
having intercourse with his own daughter.
