Lines: 6 My experience was that in the long run it doesn't matter, but in the short run it's definitely more *fun* and more moving to have free access to the baby immediately after the birth. The only caveat is not to feel like there's been permanent damage done to the relationship if, for whatever reason, the opportunity to bond immediately isn't there.
