I believe that if you don't press them to learn to read, but rather, read things to them that they find interesting and make availible to them books to handle, then they will learn to read with out needing someone to "teach" them. It is a great fallacy that we all have learned, that in order to learn something, one must have a "teacher". Children have a great natural curiosity, desire to know things, and do things on their own. Unleash that power. Lynda
